| Outreach Team Manager - Nada Calovska |
The Outreach Team does home visits:
• To families in the catchment area within two months of their child’s birth.
• To families to introduce them to the services and activities available in the Children’s Centre.
• To families, on request.
The team does not however go to visit families at home where there is known domestic violence, drug use or other danger to the team. However, the team will happily meet with those families outside the home.
The team distributes information:
• To families about the range of activities, events and support services available to them.
• About post-natal depression, breastfeeding support, healthy eating, employment and childcare.
• Which the family has requested.
The team makes referrals to appropriate services if the consent of the family has been obtained; the team also receives referrals where families need to be given information or introduced to activities and services in the area.
